How Eilat Shuttle Works – FAQ

Eilat Shuttle is the easiest and cheapest way to get from Ovda Airport to your hotel in Eilat, Aqaba, and Taba.

What times do your shuttles operate?

Our shuttles operate on a timetable matched to the flight schedule of Ovda Airport. This means that there is a shuttle leaving Ovda Airport to Eilat, Aqaba, and Taba, 45 minutes after incoming flights, and a shuttle leaving Eilat approximately 4 hours before departing flights, and Aqaba and Taba, approximately 5 hours before departing flights. The pickup times from the city are arranged in coordination with the airport requirements to ensure passengers arrive to the airport with enough time to comply with airport security procedures.

When you start to book, select your transfer date and you will see the transfer options for this day.

Do you operate on Saturdays (Shabbat)?

Yes, our service is available seven days a week.

Can I buy a ticket on the bus?

No. All Eilat Shuttle bookings must be made in our website before travel. Our drivers and assistants are not able to sell tickets, so pre-booking is required if you would like to travel with us.

Do you drop me and pick me from my hotel in Eilat, Aqaba, or Taba?

Yes, we operate a door to door service which drops you at your hotel. Pickup is not possible from private addresses as vehicle access for our drivers is sometimes problematic, however, in these cities you are never far from the nearest hotel where you should wait just outside the entrance for our driver.

I’m taking a shuttle to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Dead Sea, or Mitzpe Ramon. How does it work?

Certain shuttles that run from the Ovda Airport to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Dead Sea, and Mitzpe Ramon are not direct. Some are direct. The shuttles make a stop in Eilat before continuing on to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Journey time varies and the stop in Eilat can on some days be for a number of hours. You can contact us for information before booking. Transfers to Aqaba and Taba are direct with no waiting time in Eilat.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We adjust our schedule for transfers to Eilat, Aqaba, and Taba to accommodate delayed flights for airlines whose schedules we are coordinated with. If the flight is delayed we will delay the shuttle by the difference between scheduled and actual arrival time, or until all booked passengers arrive to the shuttle, whichever is shortest.

Which airlines are your schedules coordinated with?

Our schedules coordinate with flights for Ryanair, Finnair, Wizz, Transavia, SAS and Monarch. If you do not fly with these airlines, you can still use our service, however the timing might not be so convenient.

How do you assist me at the border crossing to Jordan or Egypt?

Our team of border assistants will guide you through the border crossing process. Please note that border taxes should always be brought with in cash and paid at the border. Visas should be arranged by the traveler independently in accordance with the requirements of the relevant country.

When will I be charged for my booking?

Payment will be taken after you have booked in our website in Israeli Shekels at the exchange rate on the day.

How much luggage can I bring?

Each shuttle passenger is entitled to bring one small bag onto the bus and place one larger piece of baggage into the luggage compartment under the bus.
